Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk along the machinery while they pick up and transport loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of loads over extended distances within manufacturing operations and warehouses. They are really maneuverable and fast.
It is not recommended to lift and move unstable or tall loads as there are no safety cages on these models. A rider could be the perfect answer if you are looking for an inexpensive way of moving loads from point A to point B. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to use a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model might be the best choice.
Order Selector
The order selector or order picker is a piece machinery made specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the load and the operator in an effort to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Normally, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could work in smaller aisles. They are very useful pieces of equipment during physical inventories as well as in cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more popular.
